Come To Me & Drink John 7:37 KJV

Jesus Says, “Come To Me & Drink”

John 7:37, says, “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirsts, let him come unto me, and drink.”

Are you in search of living water? Come to Jesus. Do you desire to one day make heaven your home? Come to Jesus. If you are in search of the truth, Come to Jesus. Jesus stands at the door of our hearts and knocks. Let Jesus come into your heart. Revelation 3:20 says, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” This scripture means that he is waiting on us. The key to salvation and living in victory comes from his word. Jesus is the word. Let Jesus come in and save your soul.

2 Philippians 2:10-11, the scripture tells us, “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of GOD the Father”. I don’t know about you, but the goodness of GOD makes me want to willfully serve him and make him Lord over my life. If we do it freely, and continue on this path, we will one day make heaven our home. If we refuse to confess this, then at the end of life, we’ll regretfully wish we would have chosen this on our own will. Seek God while he may be found. Isaiah 55:6-7 states, “seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.” There will be a time when our cries will not be heard. I can’t imagine a day when God is not open to our cries. One day he is coming for his people. You know what, I want to be his people.

I urge you today, to seek God with a sincere heart. What we do on earth does matter as to where we will spend the rest of our lives.

If you have read this, some of you may wonder, What should we do now? Or you may be asking yourself, how should I choose him. Well, there are some steps you can follow in order to be assured of the path you need to take in order to be in good standing.

5 things you should do in order to make heaven your home and to assure that you are on the right path.

We need to get right with Jesus. Jesus’ yoke is easy and his burden light. Matthew 11:28-30 KJV, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

100 days of prayer

We do, however, have some steps in being ready to meet our Lord and Savior. GOD in Heaven wants the best for us. This is why he gave us principles to live by in this life. If we follow these with a sincere heart, we will be on the right path.

1. Confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, no man comes to the FATHER except through Jesus Christ. (John 14:6) You must accept Jesus Christ for there is no other way to salvation without him. Period. I have heard and have seen agendas which try to get people to buy into the fact that all faiths can all worship together. That it does not matter who they are praying to. These are false statements and is a lie from the pits of hell. You can only get to GOD through his son Jesus.

2. Read the Ten Commandments of God- Adhere to them.

Where are the ten commandments? What commandments are we expected to adhere to? A little homework for you. Read Exodus 20. It is here where you will find the commandments. In the book of Matthew, it says those who love me, keep my commandments. Spend time understanding what is expected of you and work this out now while you still have the opportunity to do so. I discovered this within the last few years and was shocked! I was even moreso in disbelief when I realized how many decades I have sat in a church and did not hear about them. Yeah, I heard about fornication and adultery, but not all of them. Some of the rebuttals of disregarding the old testament is that we now follow the new testament. This is a scary line of belief, in my opinion, because it is setting ourselves up believeing in whatever we ‘think’ versus what the scripture says. GOD’S ways are above our ways and so are his thoughts. I carry on in this life, not elevating myself or justifying some belief I have always heard about, but rather finding ways to connect and let my actions be accountable unto the glory of GOD.

3. Read and Pray to Father in Jesus Name.

Jesus’ disciples asked Jesus how to pray. In Matthew 6:9-13 KJV says,

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our FATHER which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

I encourage you to memorize this prayer. I read this prayer every day. My mom who passed away in August 2020, always prayed. I was touched by this, so I also do this in reverence to the Almighty. I encourage you to also humble your heart before GOD as he sees and knows everything.

Prayer changes things. God speaks to us through the bible and through prayer. When we are in the flesh, we cannot please GOD. This is how to develop a relationship with him.

4. Abstain from sin

Once you know what the 10 commandments are, then follow them. To know of them is different from abstaining from sin. Failure to do this only makes you well-read and knowledgeable. I don’t care if you have been ‘saved’ for years or have always attended church. If we die with sin, we will not enter the eternal gates.

All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of GOD. (Romans 3:23) You still must, however, be an overcomer and you can’t live anyhow! This is a myth and a lie from the enemy. We must strive to walk in God and without blemish.

If you sin, you should always confess immediately. Yes, GOD will forgive us, but if you do not ask, then your sins will not be forgiven. The bible says pray without ceasing. I often ask for GOD’s forgiveness right when I mess up, for failure of forgetting to pray about that sin later. When I realize this is what I must do, I literally had to go back and recall my sin in order to ask for rforgiveness. I asked GOD to help me remember. Every week, some memory comes back of what I did in the past, and I repent then and there. I encourage you to also be dedicated like this and determined to not let sin or anything else separate you from the love of GOD. That’s in Romans chapter 8.

5. Tell others about the good news of Jesus Christ.

GOD says go into the world and tell other about the good news. We are to be a light, a beacon, and preach the gospel. This is why we were born. This earth is just a test and it will never be over. We will live forever someplace and we will be aware of our life on earth. We will be judged for how we lived our lives. The choices we make, the actions, how we treated others and loved the poor. This will be brought up during the judgment…. it does matter how we live our lives.

Closing

Be diligent and serve GOD. Be urgent about your walk with Christ for these days look like Jesus could come back for his church any moment. So, Come to Jesus. Seek him and make him Lord of your Life. In Jesus name. Amen.
