Seven Scriptures for Encouragement

Good evening, how’s it going?  I pray this broadcast finds you well. This is Derek with thedailybite.net and today I’d like to share some scriptures with you.

Seven scriptures for encouragement: Encouragement is the act of giving someone hopes, confidence or support. Encouragement can also mean persuading you to do or continue to do something. I am here to encourage you.

Purpose

I know for sure you were born with a purpose. You are valuable and amazing. You are an eternal spirit housed in a body and your body is the temple where the Holy Spirit dwells.

Purpose

Power & Encouragement

The Most High breathed a spirit of power, love and self-control into you. He made you tough, intelligent and resilient. You are beautiful inside and out.

We are facing some of the most stressful and strangest times many of us have ever experienced. These times have not come for us to despair, but for us to pray, repent and fellowship with the Lord.

I’m going to share seven of my favorite most encouraging scriptures on strength, comfort and peace. I pray these resonate with you like they do with me.

Strength

You are strong and powerful! Seek the Most High and He will strengthen you!

Psalm 34:10 Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

1 Chronicles 16:11 Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His presence continually!

Comfort

Read God’s word. The Holy Spirit speaks inwardly and directly. The Holy Spirit comforts our hearts and allows us to bring comfort to others.

Psalm 55:22 Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved.

Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Matthew 11:28-29 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Peace

Romans 8:6 For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.

Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body and be thankful.

Conclusion

I hope this blesses and encourages you. Be strong and courageous. Say your prayers, repent and fellowship with Jesus Christ. He gives us rest for our souls. Now that’s true comfort.

Please join the conversation and share your thoughts and opinions. Thank you and God bless!

Hi Derek.I am a Muslim and can agree with you about having strength, comfort and peace during these times. Our religion also teaches us to have patience and trust in Allah (the one and only God).
This is very important in self confidence and self growth, because if you don’t trust God to help you in every situation, then it means that you have given up hope and the belief in God which is detrimental to a person.

    1. Hi Yahya! I agree wholeheartedly, we must trust God in every situation. Thanks so much and peace be unto you.
